
Regardless of your starting point, most people, athletes included try to do too much

too soon. There is also a prevalent opinion that you have too work to a point of perceived exhaustion or discomfort. Nothing could be further from the truth. Any managed approach that includes daily physical activity, sound diet and energy management is going to improve your wellness. The truth is you will get much further in the long run if you start out at a moderate level of exertion, a level that allows you to recover quickly and get in a daily session. This allows for consistency, progression and muscle memory. Bottom line is that working against the resistance and control of your own body is going to produce faster, wider ranging results. Be intelligent and do what you can now. Whether that is walking, riding a bike, yoga, calestenics, etc. your first goal should be getting into the habit of daily physical activity. Once the body has adapted to being used every day, if you desire, then it is time to start progressing the range and intensity of your efforts
